If you can’t get out for the full Tour experience, be sure to ride this weekend adventure!
Route and Distance
Departing from Richmond Hill by bus on Friday at 2pm, the group will join the other riders in plenty of time for dinner at Trent University, Peterborough. The next day will be a loop exploring the backroads of the Kawarthas. Turning north, the route leads into the Haliburton Lakes region then points south for homeward leg on Sunday. There's no camping this year but you're welcome to pitch a tent on Saturday night at Camp White Pine in Haliburton.
Friday bus to Peterborough
The bus departs at 2pm sharp so please arrive at the depature point in Richmond Hill by 1pm to allow time
to register and load your bike and personal affects on the luggage
transport. Parking is free. A light lunch and beverages will be served during this 2 hour drive.
Distances to suit everyone.
The primary route each day is a rewarding "Metric Century" distance of 100km. The ride is fully supported by patrol vehicles and cheerful tour marshals that ride along with each group of 10-15 cyclists. Several well-stocked rest stops dot the daily course to keep you in good form. For those looking to test their legs further, step up to the meandering "Century" of 100 miles (160km). For riders that quailify, go for broke on the excessively long 200km "Extended" route. Whatever your ability, you’re sure to share the journey with someone traveling at your speed.
